What it is
Popshot is a screenshot beautifier that runs in a web browser. You drop in a screenshot and it adds a matched background, a frame or device, padding, corners and a shadow, then exports an image sized for where you will post it.
Who it is for
Indie makers and product designers who show their work in launches, portfolios and changelogs, and marketers and social creators who need a screenshot to look finished on X, LinkedIn, Instagram or a store page.
Does it upload my images?
No. Popshot runs entirely in your browser. Your screenshot is processed on your device and is never sent to a server.

What it doesn't do
No recording or video
It does not record your screen or make video, GIFs or animation. It styles still screenshots you already have.
Not a capture tool
You take the screenshot with your own tool, then bring it to Popshot.
No developer tooling
There is no API and no CLI. It is made for designers and makers, not engineering workflows.
No hosting or sharing
It does not host or share your images. You export a file or copy it to your clipboard.

Who makes it
Clavijo Studios LLC
The one-person studio that publishes Popshot.
Not the other Popshots
The name is shared with unrelated products: an older Mac app called popShot, an AI photo editor that has since been discontinued, and a magazine called Popshot. This Popshot is none of them and lives at popshot.app.
